Forensic Engineering
The role of a forensic engineer is to investigate the damage to a structure or structures, attempt to determine causation of the problem and often to develop repair recommendations. The forensic engineer must be an expert in their field and have a through knowledge of the issue under investigation and applicable engineering fundamentals. The engineer will use evidence collected at the site such as: structural or subsurface testing data, measurements, observations, etc. to arrive at their final conclusions.
SCES is qualified to investigate subsidence investigations and structural damage investigations on single and multi-family residential structures as well as any associated peripheral structures (seawall/bulkhead, retaining wall, docks, gazebos, etc.).
